Glad to see there are a few old-timers out there! I'm 29, and have
just discovered Press Gang and am very impressed with what I have seen.
I'm hard pressed to come up with an American children's series that
would compare to Press Gang in terms of quality of acting, scripts, or
just plain charm. There is a sense of magic in the characters that has
kept me coming back every week for more...sort of the way "Dr. Who",
"The Avengers", and "Star Blazers" have done as I've grown up.
I'm a relatively new to the list and have been content to let the
regular talkers have their say, but I thought I'd pop in and introduce
myself before heading back to my feeble attempts at housecleaning on
my day off. My name is Kevin Nauta; I hail from Grand Rapids, Michigan,
in the USA; and when not delivering the mail for a living,
I'm a professional curmudgeon. (Well, you'd be if your cable company
was dumping your "Press Gang" channel, wouldn't you? Satellite TV, here
I come!)
