So True. I mean what the hell where they thinking when they made...
University Hospital (Spelling drama). The show lasted as long as the
nurse's uniforms.

Has Moffat written anything else ?

Absolutely. I love that every line is a one-liner.
Like the whole conversation at the start of This week and Pizza.
Tiddler : "I made it myself".
Sam : "So what did you think when you turned the lights on ?"
Also, the entire conversation between Lynda and the children's show host
and the big fight scene between Spike and Lynda in BAD NEWS.
I don't think I've ever scene better scriptwriting.
I love that the host says to her "You should get your own series."
In Response to the query of the first showing. I remember
watching it for the first time in '89, when I was living in Sydney.
And judging by the XXX's, CVII's, & XXXVI's... (all the roman numerals
in the end credits) it looks like it was made in that year. I haven't
seen the numbers in a while, can anyone confirm ?
I feel so much better that the oldest is subsciber is 34.
I'm only 19 but I used to think that being obsessed with one show
was ridiculous. Since subscribing, I couldn't be more happy and proud.
I remember someone mentioning something about wanting to be a journalist
after watching the show, well guess what ?
I also hooked on to the idea and still extremely hooked.
I was the Editor of my school paper, which also produced an "underground"
edition.
In Year 11 we set off the firm alarm 3 times to use the faculty
photocopier, the staffroom and the principals office.
I was probably the most hiddiestly awful student ever.
(And this was at an all girl's school.)
And NO we never got caught. But I did cut myself once on
the glass - and was treated in the "sick bay" and funnily enough the
school nurse, who was about 180, never clicked.
Definitely a story to tell the grandchildren.
Then the following year they showed the episode "Friendly Fire"
when I was in Year 12. When my friend and I saw it we couldn't stop
laughing for about 3 days. All our guilty memories surfaced.
The school still don't know to this day.
Fill me in on the High School etiquette, is it just me, or does everyone
do that when trying to break into parts of their school ?
Anyway, as I was saying, I hooked onto the Journalism vibe, and never
got off it. I am studying to be a journalist, majoring in Radio Journalism.
And graduating in 11 days ! So I have Press Gang to thank for my career
choice.
I saw Chasing Amy on Thursday night and loved it.
And for all the Colin Firth (Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice) fans, I
don't know about the UK, US or Germany opening dates, but "Fever Pitch"
is opening in Australia next Thursday.
Have any UK fans or anyone else seen it ?
If so, did you like it ? You can't go wrong if it's got "Mr Spunky" in it.
No-one on the screen, besides a little crush on Spike, has ever done
anything for me like Colin Firth.
If anyone has seen the way he looks at Eliza Bennet when she is singing
and playing the piano at Pemberley, in Pride & Prejudice, you will agree
that he is the most good-looking, brooding, delicious actor ever to come
out of England.
I know this is off the PG Theme, but besides "The English Patient" and
"Circle of Friends" has he been in anything else ? You can reply
privately if you wish.
Well I'm going to go now and day dream happy little thoughts of
"Mr Spunky".
Take Care my little Press Gang-ers,
(especially those enjoying their third decade)
Renee.
